Happy Wednesday my beautiful health warriors! I hope that each and every one of you are feeling amazing and managing to keep the back to school fall germs at bay!

It’s that time of year again to make sure that you are doing extra to keep your immune system at optimal levels, especially if you have compromised health!

I’m sure you already know, so I will just give you a gentle reminder of some of the things that you can be doing to help build and support your immune system.

God has designed us perfectly, that if we just provide our systems with the right tools, they want and will work for us! Our systems are so divine and designed with absolute precision.

Before sharing, I do have to let you know that this information is just that, information. Although it is valuable information, I cannot say that it is meant to treat, cure or diagnose. Can I debate that? I certainly feel strong enough to! 😜 I’m simply sharing information that I believe is beneficial, but it is always advised that you ask your health care professional.

If it were me asking, I would personally ask someone like a naturopathic doctor, holistic nutritionist, functional medicine practitioner or someone alike who’s had extensive training and/or experience. Even a real human with personal success is a great start! You will find that all of these types of people are educated with excellent nutritional information, which is superior to the nutritional education taught to a western trained practitioner. It is an unfortunate fact that is no fault of theirs alone, but rather a sad reality that their educators don’t even spend a whole day teaching about this important topic. You really are what you eat, and truly, let food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food!

Our present day health systems are in place to help people manage their sickness as opposed to preventing it. It’s the perfect system designed to keep big pharma at the top.

Now back to our immune systems!

Some supplements that you can be taking to boost your immune system are:

                ◦             Vitamins B6, B12, C, D3, K2, & E

                ◦             Zinc

                ◦             Selenium

                ◦             Pre and probiotics

Beneficial spices, herbs and root veggies that are not only beneficial to your health, but will add incredible flavour to your food are:

                ◦             garlic

                ◦             ginger

                ◦             tumeric

                ◦             dandelion

They are all powerful antioxidants with antibacterial properties to boot. They also fight against inflammation while aiding in good gut health on top of many other health benefits. (I could easily double the size of this email with all of the incredible benefits that these products can do!)

It is important to make sure that you are getting adequate water so that you can keep your body hydrated and flushed. The rule of thumb is that you take your body weight, divide it in half, and that’s what you should be drinking in ounces on average in a day.

Get plenty of rest, but the trick is at the right times! Go to bed 2 hours after sundown and get up with the sun, avoid screens, blue light and other stimulants like caffeine and sugar. Personally, I believe sugar should be avoided 24-7, 365 days a year! It’s thee perfect poison. Just eliminate it completely and replace it with any of the following sweeteners that our bodies do not recognize as sugar.

                ◦             Xylitol

                ◦             Erithritol

                ◦             Monk fruit

                ◦             Stevia

Choose your food wisely and equally or more importantly, eat at the right times! If you can handle intermittent fasting daily, I highly recommend it! That means not eating supper past 6-7pm and then fasting until 11am-12pm the next day, you will have amazing success at a cellular level. The magic number for fasting is 16hrs as at that 15hr mark is when the magic happens! We could have a whole seminar on fasting alone!

De-stress with adequate exercise-don’t over do it, but DO it!!

With the winter weather approaching, a rebounder might be an affordable and nice piece of equipment to have inside to keep that lymphatic system working. I’ve even seen them on kijiji and marketplace for a great savings! Remember, the lymphatic system must actually move to work!! YOU need to move it! Don’t be stagnant!

Play positive and uplifting music as the frequency also matters. Healing hertz is a real thing friends! If you can handle the sound of your own voice, SING!! We all sound better in the shower (apparently!), so sing it loud and proud to your rubber ducky! Your vagus nerve will be your biggest fan as singing is helpful in stimulating its function as well! Plus, singing releases our ‘happy’ chemicals, and it’s completely free!! 😀

Do something therapeutic and specifically for yourself! That could look like meditation, art of any sort, make a new friend, sit by a river and take in nature, talk to the people in the lineups wherever you go, get to know yourself alone and do some deep diving, sit still with birdseed and get a chickadee to land on you, read a book, breathe deeply, try a new food, walk a dog or borrow one if you don’t have one! Join a class that you’ve always wanted to do but keep putting it off-why?? Go for it!! Now I’ve saved the best for last…my favourite is really getting to know God. Like deeply diving in and if you don’t know where to start, pray on it!! Ask me, and I will pray with and for you! It is so freeing to be able to give it all to Him. He doesn’t want you to suffer.

So! I hope I still have your attention and that you are free to join me this Thursday, September the 12th at 6:15pm for our next Health Warriors seminar!

As in past, we will be at the Muskoka Natural Food Market in beautiful Bracebridge. Jeff will keep the till open for all of your supplement needs while you’re there!

http://www.muskokanaturalfoods.com/

We will also try our best to be finished by 7:30pm this time! (I plan to set a timer as at the last 2 seminars we went over time! Sorry Jeff!) Our dear and brilliant lab tech friend, Lynn, shared information that was just SO GOOD! It was very interactive for all that time just slipped away on us!

For this week’s seminar, we are blessed to have the wonderful and beautiful (both inside and out) Inna Evtoushenko to come and speak with us!

Inna is a holistic nutritionist specializing in oncology nutrition and digestive health. She is also a registered massage therapist and lymphedema therapist at her private practice called Restorative Massage Therapy. https://restorativemassagetherapy.ca

Inna is going to share valuable information and speak with us about healthy fats and harmful fats in our everyday nutrition.

We don’t need to avoid fat, we just need to know what the best fat is for our body’s optimal health. Fats play an incredible role in our bodies, and I’m excited for us all to learn more about this topic.

So please, as always, bring your open minds, questions, notepad and pen, a bottle of water and grab a friend or two!

These seminars are for everyone at ANY health level or state.

Together we learn, share, laugh and prosper.

Together we are an uplifting and supportive community.

Together we are not alone.

Together we can do this.

Together, we are The Health Warriors!

Oooh! I have one more superkalafrajalistic thing I’m excited to share with you all!! 🤩

As per your requests, we finally have a website!!! Thanks to my friend, Kevin Plested, of Warpzone Web Services, you have a site to go to! Woot woot! Thank you Kevin!

It JUST went live, so, for now, it’ll include these newsletters and you can leave comments there too. We will be tweaking, adding and cutting as we go. It is just the beginning, and it is growing organically, exactly how it is meant to be!

So your love, positive and constructive feedback is welcomed! As you know, I do not get paid for this. The payment is that it truly fills my heart to share and give back to the people what I am learning, so that others may have healing success stories too.

You can check it out at www.thehealthwarriors.ca. Together, we grow!

Remember to put it on your calendar for this Thursday (September 12th) and while you’re there, jot down our next date too, Thursday October 10th at 6:15pm.

I look forward to seeing y’all and meeting any new warriors that you may bring out with you too!

Stay strong, healthy and positive!

Love and blessings to all,

🧡 Warrior Michelle 🤗
